Today we’re gonna dive into my Ipsy Glam Bag Plus for July 2019. If you’re new to the blog I’m going to link to some previous Ipsy unboxings so you can get a better understanding of Ipsy and these posts.
The theme for Ipsy Glam Bag Plus for July 2019 was Dive In and it contained 5 items.
Pixi By Petra Glow Mist $15.00
Touch In Sol Pretty Filter Waterful Glow Cream $38.00
Yensa Tone Up Primer Essential Glow $35.00
Huda Beauty Obsessions Palette in Mauve $27.00
Thrive Causemetics Liquid Lash Extensions Mascara in Brynn $24.00
The Pixi by Petra Glow Mist is formulated with 13 essential oils, Aloe Vera and fruit extracts to set your makeup, hydrate, protect and give your skin a gorgeous dewy finish. I was a little intimidated by this product because of the oil it contains as I do have combination to oily skin. Amazingly this doesn’t cause the makeup to breakdown or separate. It gives my skin a dewy radiant look and my makeup lasts all day.
Touch In Sol Pretty Filter Waterful Glow cream is a lightweight moisturizer formulated with hyaluronic acid and hydrolyzed collagen to plump, firm and moisturize your skin. I like the moisturizer, it hydrates my skin without making it oily. It leaves my skin feeling soft and smooth ,almost as if I primed my skin. I am only 28 years old and I don’t have any lines or wrinkles yet so unfortunately I won’t be able to tell you if it works in terms of plumping but I do think it’s a good moisturiser.
Yensa Tone Up Primer Essential Glow is infused with black tea, shiitake mushroom, chia seed and other nourishing ingredients. This does have a light tint to it and leaves a glowy sheen on your skin. It has a tacky finish that helps your makeup cling to it. This is another good primer, but like I’ve said before in my previous post, if you’re like me and have very large pores or deep cavities formed from pitted acne then this isn’t going to be enough. I generally go in with 2 primers, one all over my skin and another in targeted areas to fill in pores and texture. This is one of those primers that I use all over the skin before going in with a pore minimising primer. I do think this is a fantastic primer, I haven’t experienced any fading or movement of my makeup, it lasts pretty well.
Huda Beauty Obsessions Palette in the shade Mauve is a 9 pan eyeshadow palette that contains both shimmers and mattes. This little compact can take you from day to night with absolutely stunning looks. The shadows are creamy, soft, buttery and blend effortlessly. There’s a large mirror that makes it convenient for travel. I really enjoy using this palette.
Lastly we have the Thrive Causemetics Liquid Lash Extensions Mascara in the shade Brynn. This mascara claims to be volumizing and lengthening. It also claims to make sparse lashes look like extensions. The comb shaped wand adds definition, separates lashes and prevents clumping. I haven’t tried this yet since I’m trying to finish up all of the mascaras I have open currently, but I have heard very promising things about it and I can’t wait to try it.
Overall I think this was a fantastic box…I love all the products I received. Subscription boxes are the best ways to try new products and build your collection…it’s also makes for excellent gifts 😉
