The theme for the Ipsy Glam Bag Plus April 2019 was #ipsybloom and it contained 5 items.
Laura Sanchez Moods Eyeshadow and Highlighter Palette $35.00
Paris Hilton Skincare Pro DNA Dual Action Cleansing Gel $29.00
Lovecraft Beauty Bronzer Palette $39.00
Benefit Cosmetics High Brow Highlighter $22.00
GoldFaden MD Bright Eyes $55.00
The Laura Sanchez Moods Eyeshadow and Highlighter Palette contains 8 eyeshadows and 2 highlighters. There are 4 matte eyeshadows and 4 shimmer shades. I haven’t tried all the shades in the palette but from what I have tested I am a fan. It’s not the best quality however, but its good. I also noticed that the shimmer shades were more pigmented and smooth as compared to the mattes. The matte shades did come off a bit chalky in the swatches and some did need to be built up.
However I can’t really judge an eyeshadow based on swatches because they can perform differently on the eyes but I will try the palette out thoroughly and thereafter give you a full review.
The Paris Hilton Skincare Pro DNA Dual Action Cleansing Gel is said to be infused with exfoliating caviar lime and pineapple derived enzymes to brighten skin, cucumber to depuff, and white tea extract to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and help repair sun damage. This has quickly become one of my top cleansers. I’ve been using it for a while now, and it does everything it claims to do. It also helps prevent breakouts and has these micro shimmer particles that looks so luxurious. I highly recommend this product, it leaves my skin feeling amazing.
The Lovecraft Beauty Bronzer Palette consists of 3 matte shades. The powders are soft and buttery smooth. They blend effortlessly and give a very natural sun-kissed look to the skin. This palette may not be suitable for very deep skin tones as the shades are on the lighter side. It works as a straight up bronzer for me so I can’t really contour with it but I do love the quality of the product.
Benefit Cosmetics High Brow Highlighter is a creamy highlighter pencil. I received the matte linen pink shade, however I already own the champagne shade which I do love and enjoy. I have kept the pink one away until I’m done using up the champagne shade. The pencil is used to accentuate your brow arches for a brighter and more lifted look. It helps give a more clean and sleek look to your brows.
GoldFaden MD Bright Eyes is an eye cream formulated with rice bran extract, soy peptide, organic red tea and arnica which helps reduce the appearance of dark circles, puffiness and fine lines. It is thick in consistency and moisturizes without being heavy. I do like the feel of it and will keep you posted on whether or not it actually works.
Overall I really enjoyed all the items I received, I think it was a really good box. Just to let you know I did pause my subscription for May as I wasn’t happy with the spoilers and so I skipped a month which is a very nifty tool available on the Ipsy site. My June box has shipped and so I’m waiting eagerly for that.
I hope you enjoyed this unboxing. If you have tried any of these products, let me know your thoughts on them. As always thank you for taking time to read my posts and I’ll talk to you all soon.
