Hi everyone 😉
It’s been a while since I last posted, I decided to take a little break but I am back and ready with some exciting topics that I can’t wait to share.
Today we’re unboxing my first Ipsy Glam Bag Plus which I’m so eager to share with you. This box has been stuck at customs here in South Africa for a while, then detained by Port Health who gave me the most difficult time ever to release my package but I finally got it and I’m super excited, I have used these items a few times now and therefore will be able to share my thoughts on these with you.
So first off what’s Ipsy?
It’s a monthly beauty subscription that costs $10.00 a month. This subscription is called the Ipsy Glam Bag. You receive a bag that contains 5 deluxe to full size items. The Ipsy Glam Bag Plus subscription is similar to boxycharm as it contains 5 full sized items and costs $25.00 a month. This was my reason for subscribing to Ipsy, however, this is still a fairly new concept to the company, so they are currently rolling it out to Ipsy members only.
The theme for this box was Love Is In The Air and the box consists of 5 products.
Tarte Double Duty Dream Big Eyeshadow Palette $30.00
Maelle Beauty Sunkissed Bronzer Palette $32.00
Purlisse Beauty Blue Lotus Seed Mud Mask + Exfoliant $48.00
It Cosmetics Heavenly Luxe Flat Top Buffing Foundation Brush $48.00
Find Ferdinand Lipstick in Nob Hill $30.00
The Tarte Dream Big palette is actually a pocket sized palette that has a mirror and is very travel friendly. The palette has 6 metallic and 2 matte shades that are the amazonian clay formula. They are creamy to the touch, non chalky and extremely pigmented. They blend out easily and also last a really long time without fading. I really like this palette a lot, I will say the darker shades are very rich in colour, so you have to barely dip your brush into it. Overall it’s a really good palette.
Maelle Beauty Sunkissed Bronzer palette is absolutely spectacular. I am obsessed with this product. It has 5 shades in the compact. The shades are soft, smooth, pigmented and gorgeous. It gives off a natural, healthy, sunkissed glow. It doesn’t look like product has been applied on the skin, it actually looks like skin. It doubles as a highlighter depending on where you place your brush.
Purlisse Beauty Blue Lotus Seed Mud Mask + Exfoliant is a 10 minute miracle facial. It detoxifies the skin and instantly improves skin’s texture in minutes. It contains a powerful blend of blue lotus, bamboo, ginger, mushroom extract and white tea. As the ingredients work to bring dirt and impurities to the surface, you experience a slight tingle as the mask works to tighten the pores. It gently exfoliates dead skin cells from the surface of your face. I really love this mask and I see a noticeable difference to my skin after using it. I will continue to use it and let you know how it worked over a period of time.
It Cosmetics Luxe Flat Top Buffing Foundation Brush is a very high quality brush that’s excellent for blending liquids, creams and powders. I stopped using brushes to blend out my foundation and concealer a while back but this brush is indeed heavenly. It gives products an airbrushed finish. Definitely one of my top brushes.
The Finding Ferdinand lipstick was missing from my box which seems to happen often with Aramex but I wanted to avoid the drama with them so I contacted Ipsy and all I can say is wow.
The customer service is exceptional…whenever I have a query (and that is often) especially with customs in South Africa giving me a hard time, they are so friendly and so helpful. I emailed them about my missing item and they sent a replacement at no cost to me. It’s currently in Customs South Africa but i mean wow! Amazing customer service.
I’m enjoying Ipsy tremendously. I think for $25.00 its amazing. I created the look at the top of the page using all of these products. I hope you guys enjoyed this post. I love subscription boxes and highly recommend them especially Ipsy.
I hope you guys have a fantastic night 😉
