Hello my angels 🙂
Compliments of the season to you! I hope you guys have had a blessed Christmas and a magnificent start to the new year 🙂
First off, I want to apologise for the lack of posts over this festive period, I did plan to do some holiday looks, unfortunately despite numerous efforts, I could not find the time. I have missed Pretty Politics dearly and I am super pumped for this new year and the endless possibilities it holds.
So today we are starting a new series on the blog called What’s In The Box?
This series will feature the unboxing of larger subscription boxes and new products (hauls).
I recently subscribed to fabfitfun, which is a seasonal subscription box that costs $49.99 . The box offers beauty, home and lifestyle items valued at over $200.00
So firstly the packaging of this box is really cute 🙂 The first thing you see when you open up the box is the fabfitfun magazine which contains some useful information and a packing list with the prices of the products.
In my fabfitfun Winter 2018 box, I received the following items:
Mark & Graham Colorblock Throw in Natural/Ivory $49
A super soft luxurious throw that has a fringe detail. I wouldn’t pay $49 (approx. R735.00) for a throw, so I love that I got it in this box 😉
Moroccan Gold Series Treatment Mask $49
A hair mask that contains Argan oil and Keratin to rejuvenate dry, damaged hair and seal spilt ends.
H Halston Jewellery Portfolio $48
This is my favourite item in the box. Its keeps jewellery tangle free and safe especially when travelling. You can use this to organize your jewellery, tech accessories, cards and more.
Sherrie Matthews Acupuncture Jade Stone Roller $45
Made from 100% jade stone, it increases circulation, helps smooth the look of the skin and adds a natural contour to the face. It also reduces puffiness and encourages drainage through the natural benefits of massage.
Elevate Essential Oils Set: Sweet Orange and Eucalyptus $31
Unlike most essential oils, these can be applied directly to the skin. Sweet orange is used on the stomach for stomach cramps and applied to the temples for headaches. Eucalyptus oil is used topically for sore muscles and can also be used for colds and flu.
Thrive Cosmetics Brilliant Eye Brightener in Stella $24
A champagne eye brightener (shadow stick) that can be used to highlight the inner corners, brow bone or all over the eyelid for a quick simple look.
AHAVA Hydration Cream Mask $33
A hydration mask that can also be used as a sleeping mask. I have used this and it really does hydrate, soften and smooth my skin. It hydrates the skin without making it oily. I love this 🙂
Blaq Hydrogel Eye Mask with Hyaluronic Acid
These are 5 pairs of activated charcoal eye masks, that will detox and de puff the under eye area.
Pure Cosmetics 4 piece Sculpt and Blend Brush Set $22
Are super soft, dense brushes. It’s said to be made of the highest grade of synthetic fibers. They can be used for liquids/creams and powders.
Kate Somerville ExfoliKate Intensive Exfoliating Treatment $75
This is a free item I received when subscribing on Black Friday. This removes dead skin and blackheads. It also combats acne and polishes the skin revealing a smooth, glowing, brighter complexion.
I absolutely loved the box, it really is worth every cent. Unfortunately I won’t be keeping this subscription based on the fact that Pretty Politics is more beauty/makeup related. I still highly recommend fabfitfun, I think it’s one of the best subscription boxes out there and if you’re into a variety of items (home, fitness, lifesyle), then definitely check it out.
I want to thank each and every one of you for all of your love and support in 2018. I watch Pretty Politics grow daily, moving all around the world, and I’m truly grateful for that. I look forward to another amazing year with you. I’m sending out thousands of cyber hugs and prayers to you all 🙂 …. May your 2019 be blessed 😉
