Boxycharm Unveiling/First Impressions

Boxycharm July 2018 – Unveiling/ First Impressions

Hi there! I hope you guys are having a great week ๐Ÿ™‚

I know this post is so overdue but I just got my boxycharm for July last week Friday. It turns out my box was delayed at Port Health and customs for a while hence the very late delivery. I did call Aramex and they assured me that this is more the exception rather than the norm…. I was going to skip this post but decided to do it anyway…

Dr Brandt No More Baggage

Dr Brandt’s No More Baggage eye de-puffing gel is formulated with biomimetic technology, peptides and botanical extracts. It reduces under eye bags and dark circles. It has a thick consistency but doesn’t feel heavy when applied. It does leave the under eye area a bit tacky. I will continue to use this to see how it works or if it has any effect on my skin.

The Fuego Eyeshadow Collection by Crown Brush

The Fuego Eyeshadow Collection by Crown Brush, has a total of 10 warm toned shades. There are 4 shimmers and 6 matte shades. The shadows are creamy and pigmented, however I did find that the lightest shade (which is described as a matte shade but appears to have a more satin finish) didn’t apply very well and it wasn’t as pigmented as the rest of the eyeshadows in the palette. I do wish that the darkest matte brown was a little darker. Simply just to better anchor the eye looks I create, and add more contrast. Overall it is a good palette and I do like the shades.

Unlashed Volume & Curl Mascara

The Unlashed Volume and Curl Mascara is an award winning mascara that adds incredible volume, length and curl to your eyelashes while conditioning and strengthening them. I’m obsessed with this product. The formula is a bit drier in consistency which I love and enjoy. It doesn’t clump my lashes, and I experience no smudging or flaking.

Luminous Silk Compact Blusher by Note Cosmetics

The Luminous Silk Compact Blusher by Note Cosmetics is a formula infused with Argan oil, and has a natural finish on the skin. It’s in the shade Desert Rose which is a peachy coral shade(which is my favourite shade of blush) It has a soft and velvety texture and is super pigmented. I really enjoyed this blush and I’m very excited about trying other items from the brand.

Chella Beauty Eyebrow Cream

Last but not least we have the Chella Beauty Eyebrow Cream. It has a drier texture which prevents clumping on the brow hair. I love the idea of how convenient this product is especially for travel. It comes with a very precise angled brush that helps define and shape my eyebrows perfectly. The product lasts very well throughout the day with no fading.

Overall I like everything I got in this month’s box. I will definitely get more than my money’s worth from them. I love Boxycharm! I think it’s such an affordable way to build up your makeup collection and also try new products. I can’t wait to see what’s in store for the remainder months to come… ๐Ÿ™‚
