Hello my lovelies! I hope you are all doing well
So today I wanted to share my thoughts with you guys on a product I have been using for a while now, the L’Oreal Elvive Keratin Straight 72hr shampoo and conditioner.
When these products were first launched in stores a while back, I was immediately drawn to them because of the gorgeous purple packaging that stood out amongst other products. After reading the positive claims of the Keratin Straight range, I decided to give it a try, and ever since then, it’s been a go to hair product for me.
I have very thick hair that is a bit frizzy due to colouring and heat damage caused by thermal styling, and I find that these L’Oreal products help make my hair more manageable.
It isn’t all rainbows and unicorns however, as there has been complaints from consumers stating that their hair was left feeling oily. Thankfully I haven’t experienced such an occurrence even though I am prone to having oily hair. So…the way that these products work best for me is after using the shampoo, I go in with a small amount of conditioner focusing it on the length of my hair. It leaves my hair clean, soft, smooth and lightweight. It removes all frizziness from my hair and adds a beautiful shine.
The range has an incredible scent that lasts on my hair for days. I straighten my hair using a Cloud Nine flat iron, and my hair remains straight and sleek for about 3 days or until my next wash…so this product does live up to its 72 hour claim.
I find that my hair sets in a shorter time when I use these products as opposed to other hair products. It’s definitely a winner if you have frizzy unmanageable hair. It is a feasible and effective alternative to other much pricier options in its category.
They retail for R74.95 for 400mls at Dischem Pharmacy’s and can be purchased at a number of other stores as well.
I hope you found this review to be helpful. Please comment and let me know your opinions on the product or if you have any recommendations of hair products that you love.
