Hi there! I hope you guys are having a great day 🙂
I have a new concept for my blog today. I’m starting a new series called Boxycharm Unveiling/ First Impressions. Basically in the post, I will unbox my monthly Boxycharm, try on the products and give you my first impressions on what worked well and what didn’t.
Firstly what is Boxycharm??
Boxycharm is a subscription box that costs $21.00 a month and offers 4 to 5 full sized products for you to try valued at $100.00 or more. That is such exceptional value for money. You can also earn charms for subscribing and referring friends, which you can use to purchase beauty products on the boxycharm website.
The theme for June 2018 is Caribbean Queen and it has a total of 6 items(the brush set is counted as one item).
The box features:
The Reina Del Caribe palette by Alamar cosmetics $28.00
Battington Monroe Silk Lashes $28.00
Sol de Janeiro Brazilian Bum Bum Cream $10.00
Luxie 3 Piece Flawless Complexion Brushes $42.00
Jonteblu Waterproof Eyeliner Pencil in the shade Dark Brown $5.00
Ofra Long Lasting Liquid Lipstick in the shade Verona $21.00
The Reina Del Caribe palette by Alamar Cosmetics has a total of 8 shades. There are 4 metallics and 4 matte eyeshadows. The eyeshadows are extremely pigmented, beautiful, buttery soft and smooth. They blend effortlessly and is cruelty free. The palette retails for $28.00
Battington lashes are really high quality silk lashes that are handmade and cruelty free. They are fluffy, soft and very pretty. They can be used 25 times or more depending on how you take care of them. I didn’t incorporate this in today’s look, but I will feature these soon.
Sol De Janeiro Brazilian bum bum cream is a body cream that has the best scent ever, it smells heavenly!! It leaves your skin soft and smooth. It absorbs well and doesn’t leave your skin oily or greasy. I love this!
Luxie 3 piece brush set comprises of a precision foundation brush, tapered highlighting face brush and a duo fibre powder brush. All 3 are very soft and high quality synthetic brushes. They are also cruelty free.
Jonteblu eyeliner didn’t transfer that well onto my waterline. It’s very dry compared to other eyeliners, so it was a bit uncomfortable to apply as I do have very sensitive and watery eyes . It didn’t really add much colour to my waterline, however I did use it as a brow pencil and it was a success :). Used with light pressure, it went on well and didn’t budge throughout the day. Its dry enough to add definition to the brow without smudging, and it is creamy enough to keep the brow hair in place.
The Ofra liquid lipstick comes in a gorgeous shade called Verona. I am so obsessed over this lip product. When applied, it has a very velvety texture and dries to a matte finish. It’s very comfortable and does not feel sticky or dry.
Overall I was very impressed with this month’s box, the eyeliner wasn’t a huge hit for me but nevertheless I made it work and I’m quite satisfied with the results.
Boxycharm is an awesome value for money service and a fantastic way to try out a variety of new products at a fraction of their combined cost.
